Confirm working length: Establish the working length using an electronic apex locator and radiographic confirmation.

Establish a glide path: Create a glide path with appropriate hand files (typically to a size 15 or 20) before introducing the WaveOne Gold file.

Select the file size: Choose the appropriate size based on preoperative canal assessment. The Primary is the recommended starting point for most canals.

Set the motor to WaveOne Gold mode: Use a compatible reciprocating motor set to the WaveOne Gold preset program.

Shape with pecking motion: Advance the file to working length using gentle in and out pecking strokes without apical pressure.

Irrigate between strokes: Irrigate generously between pecking strokes to remove debris and reduce heat buildup.

Confirm length and taper: Verify final working length radiographically before obturation.

Discard after use: Discard the file immediately. WaveOne Gold files are single use only and must not be resterilized or reused.
