Cologenesis ColoGide GTR Membrane 10x15mm Absorbable Dental, 10 Pack
$151
Guided tissue regeneration: A barrier membrane that blocks faster-growing epithelial cells from entering the healing site, giving periodontal and bone cells space and time to regenerate, the defining function of a reliable resorbable dental membrane.
Bioresorbable: Resorbs on its own, so no second surgery is needed to remove it.
Easy to handle: A flexible structure allows precise adaptation to the surgical site.
Individually packaged: Each membrane comes as a single sterile piece, in a pack of 10.

The Cologenesis ColoGide GTR Membrane is a biocompatible, bioresorbable barrier membrane for guided tissue regeneration (GTR) in periodontal and implant dentistry, functioning as a dependable resorbable dental membrane in everyday practice. Placed over a bone or soft tissue defect, it keeps faster-growing epithelial cells out of the healing site so slower-growing periodontal and bone cells can regenerate properly. Because it is fully resorbable, no removal procedure is needed once healing is complete. Its flexible structure supports easy handling and precise fit, and its stable barrier is described as continuing to perform in moist conditions during healing. It is intended for licensed dental or oral surgery professionals.

Key features
1
Biocompatible
Made from materials intended to minimise the risk of adverse reactions.
2
Guided tissue regeneration
Provides a barrier that prevents epithelial migration into the defect, the basic job of a well-designed guided tissue regeneration membrane.
3
Resorbable
Removes the need for a second removal procedure, the hallmark of any true resorbable dental membrane.
4
Easy handling
Flexible and easy to manipulate for precise placement.
5
Stable barrier
Supports tissue regeneration and helps protect the site from contamination.
6
Moisture resistance
Described as maintaining effectiveness in moist environments during healing.
7
Single-piece packaging
Each membrane is individually packed to preserve sterility.

1
Prepare: Make sure the surgical site is clean and free of debris, and gather all instruments and materials.
2
Size the membrane: Remove it from the packaging and cut it to fit the defect or surgical site if needed, the same step taken with any dental collagen membrane.
3
Place it: Gently position the membrane over the area needing regeneration, covering the defect adequately.
4
Stabilise: Secure it with sutures, pins, or other fixation methods as needed so it stays in place during healing, the usual approach for a gtr resorbable membrane.
5
Close: Close the surgical site per standard protocols, avoiding tension on the membrane.
6
Give aftercare: Provide the patient with post-operative instructions, including site care and follow-up appointments.

Settings:
Periodontal clinics
Dental clinics
Implant dentistry practices
Oral surgery practices
Used For:
Guided tissue regeneration involving periodontal tissue defects
Selected dental surgical procedures needing a resorbable barrier membrane
Implant-related procedures where guided tissue regeneration is clinically indicated
Bone and soft tissue defects
to help prevent unwanted epithelial cell migration during healing
Used By:
Licensed dental and oral surgery professionals
Suitability
placement
and fixation should follow the clinical requirements and the manufacturer’s instructions.
Professional use only
For licensed dental or oral surgery professionals, following the manufacturer’s clinical instructions.
Maintain sterility
Open the single-piece packaging only immediately before use.
Size to the defect:
Trim carefully to fit, avoiding excess tension or folding, the same precaution that applies to any dental collagen membrane.
Follow-up required
Schedule and attend follow-up visits to monitor healing and membrane integration, since the tissue response to a membrane resorbable by nature still calls for review.
