AMMDENT Megafrost is a professional dental etching gel formulated to prepare enamel and dentin surfaces for reliable adhesive bonding during restorative procedures. The 37% phosphoric acid formula creates a consistent micro retentive surface that improves bond strength while maintaining excellent handling characteristics. Its thixotropic consistency ensures accurate placement without slumping, while the blue tint provides excellent visibility throughout the etching process. Suitable for restorative, orthodontic, and preventive dentistry, the 76 g jumbo syringe is designed for busy practices with high procedural volumes.
Effective enamel and dentin conditioning for superior adhesive bond performance.
Excellent visibility during application and confirms complete removal after rinsing.
Produces the desired etching pattern within approximately 10 to 15 seconds.
Ensures precise placement with minimal material migration onto adjacent tissues.
The 76 g jumbo syringe suits busy practices with high daily procedural volumes.
Special stabilizing agents maintain product consistency throughout storage.

Clinical applications
Practice settings
The choice between total etch and self etch depends on the adhesive system specified by the restorative material manufacturer and your preferred clinical protocol. Many clinicians selectively etch enamel with a 37% gel even when using self etch adhesives.
Wear gloves and protective eyewear during all handling and clinical use.
If contact with soft tissues or eyes occurs, rinse immediately with copious water. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.
Keep away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Cap the syringe immediately after each use.
Proper isolation using rubber dam or cotton rolls prevents accidental soft tissue contact during application.
Incomplete rinsing leaves residual acid that can compromise bond strength and cause pulpal sensitivity.
Limit dentin etching to the recommended time. Over etching can collapse collagen fibrils and reduce hybrid layer quality.
If the etched surface is contaminated with saliva or blood before bonding, re etch for 5 to 10 seconds, rinse, and dry again.
For qualified dental professionals only. Follow all applicable clinical and regulatory guidelines.
Read before use: this page is for product information only and is not clinical guidance. AMMDENT Megafrost contains 37% phosphoric acid and must be handled and used by qualified dental professionals in line with the manufacturer’s instructions for use and all applicable local regulations.
Phosphoric acid at 37% concentration demineralizes the outermost layer of enamel and modifies the dentin smear layer to create a micro retentive surface into which adhesive resin can flow and polymerize.
