Directions for Use:


RULES OF ELEVATORS USAGE:

  1. Palm grip
  2. Don't use the neighbouring tooth as fulcrum
  3. Don't use the buccal or lingual plate of bone as fulcrum
  4. Use the left hand for reflection , guard and support
  5. Follow root curvature during extraction

Uses

  1. Flohr Left – used as a lever during the extraction of a tooth or retained roots. Pushed between gums & tooth exterior & used to loosen the surrounding tissues.
  2. Flohr Straight Pointed – Blade has one convex side inserted towards the bone & one concave side inserted towards the root surface with a fine tapered end.
  3. Flohr Right - used as a lever during the extraction of a tooth or retained roots. Pushed between gums & tooth exterior & used to loosen the surrounding tissues.
  4. Cryer Left – works on wheel and axle principle. It is introduced through the empty socket of roots of multirooted mandibular molars to engage & remove interseptal bone.
  5. Cryer Right - works on wheel and axle principle. It is introduced through the empty socket of roots of multirooted mandibular molars to engage & remove interseptal bone.
  6. Coleman Straight Serrated – Used for extraction of Root fragments. Serrations are present on the working tip.
  7. Periosteal Molt No.9 – Used in elevation of mucoperiosteal flap
  8. Coupland – This elevator has one convex side inserted towards the bone and one concave side inserted towards the root surface with a flat end. Work similar to straight elevator.
  9. Warwick James Straight – This elevator is wedged with a small twist of wrist & turn of the handle of the elevator. Flat handle decreases the force against the bone & reduces incidence of fracture.
  10. Warwick James Right - This elevator is wedged with a small twist of wrist & turn of the handle of the elevator. Flat handle decreases the force against the bone & reduces incidence of fracture.
  11. Warwick James left - This elevator is wedged with a small twist of wrist & turn of the handle of the elevator. Flat handle decreases the force against the bone & reduces incidence of fracture.
